Louise Robinson

Obituary of Louise M Robinson

Louise Murphy Robinson went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 9. 2024.

She was a loving and devoted Mother to her two boys Ray (Sue) and Clifford (Sofia) who survive her. She was blessed with 2 granddaughters who she found great happiness in spending time with and loved with all her heart, Ella and Abby. She is also survived by her sister Geraldine, Nieces Bonnie and Debbie, several great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased and now reunited with her loving parents Clifford and Nellie Murphy.

Louise was a graduate of Vestal High School in 1959 and attended Baptist Bible Seminary. While raising her boys she was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for numerous insurance companies doing physicals. Once her boys were grown, she returned to college and completed her Bachelor's degree from Davis College and her Master's degree in Counseling from Christian College and Seminary. She became a substitute teacher and taught in most of the districts in the area. She was elected as Vice President of the Substitute Teachers Union and was recently re-elected at the age of 83 of which she was very proud of.

She was a woman of great faith and very active in her Church, Grace Point. Every Christmas holiday season, she would run the Samaritans Purse "Operation Christmas Child" and would work tirelessly to ensure that children in other countries would have a wonderful Christmas and learn about the Lord. One of her greatest joys in life was talking to others and leading them to Christ. There was no more important accomplishment for her then that.

She was a kind, generous and caring women. No matter who the person was or circumstances she would always say "I'll be praying for you".

Special thanks to her son Cliff and his wife Sofia whose loving and constant care allowed her many happy years in her home.

She could always be found cheering on her sons at their softball games. Never take for granted the time you have with your family because in the blink of an eye it can end. Thank you, Mom, for everything. We love you and will miss you always. Until we meet again.

Calling hours will be held July 16th from 11am to 1pm until the 1 pm service at Coleman and Daniels, 765 Main Street Vestal. Burial will be Vestal Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Samaritans Purse.
