Obituary of Ann Marie Baratta

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann Marie Baratta. Ann Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and dedication to her family was unmatched. She left this world peacefully at the age of 87 surrounded by her loving family, on August 25, 2024 at Mercy House in Endicott, NY. Ann Marie's legacy of love, service, and faith will live on through her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a lifetime member of the Apalachin Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, where she served with pride and commitment. Her sense of community extended into her spiritual life as well, as she was an active and devoted member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Ann Marie found joy and camaraderie in her involvement with the Red Hat Society, where she made many cherished friendships over the years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Ann Marie was born to the late Adam and Mary Heiser of Wilkes-Barre, PA. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael, who passed away in 2022. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Adam and Joseph Heiser, and sisters, Elizabeth and Anna Heiser, Susan Kish, Eleanor Martin, and Mary Yencha. After 63 years of a loving and devoted marriage to Michael, Ann Marie is survived by her 5 children, Michael Jr. (Karen Ovens), Annette (Richard) McPherson, Thomas (Gail), David (Jennifer), and Stephen (Jeannie). Her cherished grandchildren Michael III (Sarah), Dominic (Kelly), Kenny (Bonnie), Kala, Abby, Lily, Elliott, Ruby, Katelynn, and great grandchildren Gavin, Bella, Judah, Katie, Galen, Gemma, and Owynn, will carry her memory in their hearts. A funeral service to honor Ann Marie's life and her contributions to those around her will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday September 4, 2024, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main St., Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4PM to 7PM on Tuesday September 3, 2024, at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott.
