It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Penny S. Meyer, 57, of Endwell, after a 6 year battle with early onset Alzheimer's Disease, on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Penny was surrounded by her loving and devoted family and cherished dog Rosie. Penny was predeceased by her father, Joseph N. Hommel.

Penny will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Thomas Meyer, of 15 years, her daughter, Jennifer Ketzak (Katie and Ashton), Jennifer's unborn child, daughter, Sara Ketzak. Her mother, Margo Hommel. Sisters, Sharon Miller and Joann (Todd) Gilyard. Brother, Joseph (Jennifer) Hommel, four stepchildren, Joseph Meyer, Katrina Couch, Stephanie Cook, Vanessa Burleson, (six step grandchildren), as well as several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Penny worked for over 25 years in the insurance industry, a majority of that time was spent at Liberty Mutual. A special thank you to three of her dear friends and colleagues, who consistently supported her and her family, Nancy Barrett, Jerry Gosney, and Rick Bongiorno.

Penny is known for her kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality. Her laugh was contagious, as were her famous dance moves. Penny had a sweet tooth and was always found baking, specifically her chocolate chip cookies and annual Christmas cookie cut outs. Penny loved children and was looking forward to becoming a 'Nana.' The love she had for her family and animals is indisputable. Penny will be missed more than words could ever describe. Love never forgets.

The family will receive friends and family for calling hours at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E Main St. Endicott, NY 13760, Saturday October 26, 2024 11am-1pm. Service immediately following.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Penny's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

The family would also like to thank Home Instead (home healthcare), private caregiver Erica Cirzeveto, and Guthrie Hospice for their love, dedication and care to Penny.
