Obituary of Beverly Ann West

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Beverly Ann West, who passed away on December 09, 2024 at the age of 83. Born on July 17, 1941, in Carbondale Pennsylvania, she grew up in Newark Valley and Vestal, New York. After graduating from Vestal High School, Beverly attended Binghamton General Nursing School graduating at the top of her class. Shortly after, she was married to her late husband Joseph Arno West in 1964 and moved to Key West Florida. Beverly was a devoted wife to her husband Joseph and a devoted mother to her two sons Joesph and James. Beverly lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking. Her homemade meals were always the highlight of family gatherings and she loved to entertain with lavish meals. She was a very talented artist especially in pencil drawings. She also enjoyed reading and watching old movies with her husband and spending time at the beach. Beverly was a devoted Navy wife. Her husband Joseph was stationed in Key West Florida, Millington Tennessee, then Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia, where they made their home for many years in Virginia Beach. As most Navy wives, she spent many months alone taking care of her boys Joseph, James, and their dog Snoopy while her husband was on deployment. Beverly was also the President of the Navy Wives Club for many years where she was dedicated in friendship, welfare, and the consolation of other Navy wives while their husbands were away at sea or consoling them in times of a brave sailor's death. Beverly was also a Registered Nurse and worked many years with her Sister-in-Law, Betty Dunn, specializing in Geriatric Care. She is survived by her sons James and Joseph, his wife Nancy, her brother Daniel Dunn, his wife Betty and their daughter Michelle, all who will miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held for immediate family members, relatives and friends after the Holidays at a time To Be Determined. Rest in peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
