Obituary of Nancy Burnett

Nancy L. Burnett, age 85 of Endicott, New York passed away on December 19, 2024, after a brief bout with leukemia. Nancy was at Binghamton General Hospital during her final weeks. Her family would like to express thanks to the staff at BGH for their care and empathy towards Nancy and her family. Nancy was born on 3/12/39. She went to Union-Endicott High School, she was a graduate with the Class of 1957. After being a stay-at-home mom raising her four girls, Nancy worked in the Wilson Hospital Operating Room Unit, Rivermede Manor Nursing Home and Ideal Manor. Nancy's hobbies were cooking, sewing, and crocheting. She loved to have coffee every night with her Robble Avenue neighbors Rita and Kathleen. Nancy enjoyed taking trips with Senior Citizens' groups, especially to a casino. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Darwin L. Burnett. She is survived by her stepson Daniel E. Burnett (Lyles, Tennessee). Nancy is preceded in death by Mario J. Sylvester, the father of her four daughters. She is survived by her daughters Monica (Mike Garner) Ulbig (Binghamton, NY), Cheryl (David) Columber (Bradenton, FL), Linda (Gary) Brundage (Binghamton, NY) and Lori (Peter) Cardinale (Endicott, NY). Grandchildren Brian, Patrick, Ashley, Amy, Erin, and Alexis. Great grandchildren Hunter, Landon, Omar, Layla, Lainey, Thea, Nora, and Olivia. Nancy is also survived by her sisters Lourette (Clarence) Morris and Lisa Walter. Visitation will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott, NY on Friday January 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A prayer service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation.
