June Tzivanis

Obituary of June Rose Tzivanis

June Rose Tzivanis, 89, originally from Endicott, New York, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 in Massachusetts after extended health-related issues. June was predeceased by loving husband Dino Tzivanis, son James Tzivanis, and cousin (brother-like) Walter Jankowski. June is survived by her two sons Daniel (Florida) and Michael (Leslie) (Massachusetts), daughter-in-law Sharon Tzivanis, three granddaughters Kelsey (Alex), Maggie (Tyler), and Hannah, two grandsons Dean and Max, sister-in-law Niki Anthis, one niece Maria (Ron), five nephews Perry, James, JR (Joy), Billy, and Johnny (Kasia), and three great grandchildren Lexi, Penelope, and James (Tkach). June was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She raised three boys and helped raise her five grandchildren. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her family and spoiling her children and grandchildren with their favorite food, Christmas presents, and an occasional $5 or $10 bill for "gas money" or "whatever". Regarding food, June was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding family and friends. She had the reputation of making great meals that friends often talked about, and no one left the table hungry. After the kids were raised, June worked in retail in several different women's dress shops in the triple cities (Shirley's, Drazen's, Ginny's, and The Unique Shop). June was always fashionable and well dressed and her customers would often ask for June specifically as they trusted her fashion judgement. In her retirement years, June and husband Dino enjoyed spending a month or more in Florida to escape the cold Northeast winters. June also enjoyed gardening and keeping her house neat and clean while maneuvering around the golf clubs, bags, and balls that were scattered throughout the house. June also graciously assumed the challenging task of caretaker for her husband Dino as he was suffering from several health-related issues later in life. Late in June's life, she suffered from dementia and other health issues but she always remained positive and made the best of the situation. June's love of family, caring nature, and resilience were greatly appreciated and respected and will never be forgotten. We love you and may you rest in peace. We wanted to acknowledge the caretakers at The Arbors and Bear Mountain in Massachusetts for their kind and compassionate care of June over the past several years... thank you. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25th at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott, NY from 9:30 am until the time of her memorial service at 11 am. Immediately following the service, burial will be held at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, NY.
