Obituary of Bessie W. Curtis

Bessie W. Curtis of Vestal Bessie W. Curtis, 97, of Vestal, formerly of Massena, NY, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Elizabeth Church Manor. She is predeceased by her first husband, Glenn Greene; and her second husband, Silas Curtis. Seven sisters-in-law and five brothers have also predeceased her. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Joan Greene of Vestal; two grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, John Allen of Endicott, Tom and his wife, Donna Greene of Apalachin; one brother and sister-in-law, Erwin and Clarise Willard of Hawaii; two great-grandchildren, Kate and Sarah Allen; three stepchildren, Joan Tanner of Winthrop, NY, John Curtis of Minoa, NY, Ann Ploof of Hanawa Falls, NY; two step-grandchildren, Dan and Shanon Farrell. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hilltop Nursing Center and Elizabeth Church Manor for the outstanding care given to Bessie during her stay. A Memorial Service for Bessie will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the Union Center Christian Church, 950 Boswell Hill Rd., Endicott. The Rev. Sal Maiorana will officiate. A committal service will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Cook St., Massena, NY. Funeral arrangements are by Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY.
