Obituary of Lawrence G Vesely

Lawrence G. (Larry) Vesely Of Endwell Lawrence G (Larry) Vesely, 69, of Endwell, passed away Tuesday Evening July 13,2010 at his home. He is predeceased by his father Charles E Vesely. He is survived by his mother, Jane Vesely of Horseheads; his wife of 50 years, Patricia; children, Charles and Mary Vesely, Vestal, Lori Vesely, Naples, FL, Tom and Rita Vesely, Endwell, Steven Vesely, Endwell; grandchildren, Marrissa and Maddie Vesely, Nejla Vesely, Amanda and Alicia Vesely, Emily, Grace and Joshua Vesely; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Sue Vesely, Reynoldsburg, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted member of the Endwell United Methodist Church, a 43 member of the O.L Davis Volunteer Fire Co, Endwell, where he served as a Fire Police Lieutenant. He was also a Fire Commissioner with the Endwell Fire District, a 30 year member of the Teamsters Union Local 693. He was a Veteran of the US Navy. In 2007, Larry Received the Service to Mankind Award from the Endicott Sertoma Club for outstanding service to his community. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather, and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11AM from the Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd, Endwell. The Rev Janice Marsi, pastor of his Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The Family will receive friends at the Church Sunday from 2-6PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the memory fund of the Endwell United Methodist Church, or to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd, Vestal, NY 13850. Arrangements are by the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc, 300 East Main St, Endicott.
