Obituary of Mary Lee Piscopo

Mary Lee Piscopo Of Stuart, Florida formerly of Vestal Mary Lee passed away peacefully on July 17th at her home in Stuart, Florida at the age of 71 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Gary Clark Jr. and her brother Donald Olsen. She is survived by her adoring husband of twelve years, Ron Piscopo, and her sons and their families: Kyle and Mary Ellen Smith of Plano, TX and their children Carly Witt, Kyle Jr. and Cody, Craig Smith of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Dennis and Margaret Smith of McDonough, NY and their children Logan, Nathan, Alex and Brian, DJ and Kristen Smith of Syracuse, NY and their children Jeffrey and Rachel. She is also survived by her two step daughters and their families: Julie and Kelvin Smith and their son Kelvin Smith Jr. of Jensen Beach, FL and Nicole and Dan Neal of Gainesville, FL. In all,10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The daughter of Carl and Mary Olsen, she was born in Geneva, New York in 1939. She was a long-time resident of Vestal, NY. She retired from Frito-Lay Inc. after 19 years of service. Mary Lee's life is characterized by faith, love and perseverance. She was well known for her infectious smile which was always there when she was around her family and friends. Mary Lee enjoyed golf, boating, traveling and entertaining with her husband Ron. She loved her grandchildren dearly and actively participated in their lives, often taking them on vacations and attending their sporting events and school shows. She will be missed by all who knew her and remembered by the many ways she touched their lives. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal, NY on Thursday, July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, in Johnson City. The family will receive friends at Coleman-Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St. in Vestal on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Stuart, FL at a later date this fall.
