Obituary of Mary J Begell

Mary J. Begell Of Vestal Mary J. Begell, 90, of Vestal Passed away Sunday August 1,2010. She was predeacesed by her husband Durwood Begell; son Mark; parents Archie and Laura Thurston; sisters Marguerite Leahy, Helen Thurston, Frances Griswald; brother John W Thurston who was killed in Korea, Archie Thurston Jr and Albert Thurston; brother-in-law Richard Begell. She is survived by her four children, Joan Scott, Carolyn Clark, Marlene and Bill McNulty, and Irene and Mike Herceg; several grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother Charles Thurston; sister-in-law, Esther Begell; several nieces and nephews. Mary was a hardworker coming from a big family, and also having a big family. She was the Matriarch of the family, and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 PM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc, 765 Main St, Vestal. Father John Kurgan, pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal, will officiate. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday from 12 noon until service time at 1 PM.
