Obituary of Edward K. Wiwigac

Edward K. Wiwigac Edward K. Wiwigacof BinghamtonEdward K. Wiwigac, 59, of Binghamton, wonderful son, father, brother and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, following a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah; his father, Chester Wiwigac; and a brother, Steven Wiwigac. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Fenson) Wiwigac, Johnson City; a daughter, Lisa (Mark) Thayne, Va.; two stepsons, Aaron (Christina) DeShay, and Nathan (Amy) DeShay, both of Fla.; four sisters, Kathryn Cosentino, New York, N.Y., Eileen (Richard) Snyder, Endwell, Debra (Dennis) Paton, Glasgow, Scotland, U.K., Cherie (Matthew) Savage, Johnson City; four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews; and many special friends, including his good fishing buddy, Jim Motter, Owego; and his two lovable feline friends, Pork and Angel. Edward served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was an avid fisherman who loved being outdoors. He was loved by many and will be dearly and deeply missed.At his request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Wilson Memorial Hospital South Tower 5 and Broome Oncology. Friends wishing may make donations in his memory to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Association Inc., 76 Main Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
