Obituary of Doris K Gow

Doris K. Gow Of Vestal Doris K. Gow, 91, of Vestal, went to be with the Lord and her loved ones on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Vestal Nursing Center. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Homer; her sons, Glenn and James Gow; a sister, Reba Pickering; a brother, James MacDonald; and a son-in-law, William Wood. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Wood, Brackney, PA, Rebecca and James Baker, Endicott and Betsy and Bud Sodon, Brackney, PA; a son, William and Gloria Gow, Little Meadows, PA; daughters-in-law, Carol Gow, Vestal and Barbara Gow, Montrose, PA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, June and Douglas James, Vestal Center; as well as many nieces and nephews. Doris was a member of the Vestal Center United Methodist Church. She was a loving Mom who will be missed very much. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Vestal Nursing Center for their loving care with a special thanks to her care giver, Ginger. Funeral Services for Doris will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, NY with the Rev. Dr. Roger L. Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
