Obituary of Stephen J. Leonard

Stephen J. Leonard Of Berkshire Stephen J. Leonard, 55 of Berkshire passed away after a long illness on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his father, Ray M. Leonard. He is survived by his mother; Beatrice Leonard, his three children; Rachel, Heather and Kristopher and six grandchildren, Four brothers; Jim and Michelle Leonard, Endwell, Ken and Chris Leonard, Binghamton, Lawrence Leonard and Beverly Davis, Glen Aubrey, Christine Houston, Endicott, Colleen and Larry Donahue, Newark Valley and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Stephen was a SPC in the Army National Guard and Reserve, receiving numerous awards and decorations. He was a member of the local 178 Painters & Allied Trades Union in Ithaca, NY. Stephen was an avid hunter and fisherman. He would always put others before his own needs. Stephen was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all. Funeral services for Stephen will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 10 am from St. Ambrose Catholic Church , 203 Washington Ave. Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St Ambrose Catholic Church on Tuesday morning from 8:30 am until the time of service at 10 am. In lieu of flowers kindly consider memorial contributions in Stephen's name to the Empire State Speech and Hearing Camp, Spencer, NY.
