Obituary of Ronald Frank Wasyln

Ronald Frank Wasyln of Vestal Ronald Frank Wasyln, 65, of Vestal, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1945 and was the son of Pauline and John Wasyln. He was predeceased by his parents; his father-in-law, James R. Vojtisek; and a special uncle, Andrew Wasylysyln. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Marie Wasyln; his daughters, Tanya Silvestri and Robin Hinson, Lisa and Donal O'Shaughnessy, Kimberly Eck and Jason Ciccarino; a sister, Delores (Dan) Domanski; a brother, Robert Wasyln; his grandchildren, Nathan (Brittany) Baumlin USN, Natalie and Trevor Baumlin, McKinley Rose O'Shaughnessy and Austin Tyler Eck; a special companion, Minnie; mother-in-law, Josephine Vojtisek; many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Ron was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from IBM and Lockheed Martin of Owego. Ron dedicated his whole life to his family and friends. Through his retirement he spent wonderful times at the cottage he loved. He shared special trips with loved ones and dear friends. He passed with strength, love and courage after his battle with lung cancer. Memorial Services for Ron will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at 3 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott with the Rev. Rob Campbell of New Life Ministries, Endicott, officiating. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
