Obituary of Theodore Winthrop Butch

Theodore John Butch Sr. Theodore John Butch Sr., 71, of Warren Center, Pa. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y. He was born on July 25, 1937 and was the son of the late Gustave and Barbara Schmidt Butch. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Matlack) Butch; a son, Theodore J. (Monica) Butch Jr. of Tracy, Calif.; a daughter, Terrie L. Raychel of Milltown, N.J.; two sisters, Delores Reeves and Ruth (Buddy) Benigno of N. Brunswick, N.J.; his grandchildren, Rosalie Butch, Theodore "TJ" John Butch III, Joseph Butch and Allison Raychel; and many nieces and nephews. Theodore was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a lifetime member of the Milltown, N.J. Rescue Squad, a member of the Mill Pond Rod and Gun Club, and was a Cub Scout Leader of Milltown Pack 33. He was a Milltown Little League Coach and was a 27 year member of the Teamsters retiring from Stroehman's as a route salesman. He was a member of the Warren Center Senior Citizens, a member of the Milltown United Methodist Church at Milltown, N.J. and attended the Warren Center Baptist Church. In 1999, he retired to his property in Warren Center and fulfilled his dream of owning his own land to hunt on and where he built his log cabin home. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Route 434, Apalachin, N.Y., with the Rev. Larry Jennings, pastor of the Warren Center Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Van Liew Cemetery in N. Brunswick, N.J. The family will receive their friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers friends may make donations to either the Warren Center Baptist Church or the Little Meadows Rescue Squad.
