Obituary of Louella Whittenburg

Louella A. Whittenburg Louella A. Whittenburg, 72, of Port Crane, died at Wilson Hospital on December 3, 2010 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Jacobs, Jr.; her mother, Uletta Pratt; father, Theodore Pratt and seven brothers and two sisters. Louella is survived by her husband of 26 years, Fred Whittenburg, Port Crane; four daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and David Scott, Apalachin, Tammy and Gary Hammitt, Port Crane, Bonnie and Jake Schuk, Endicott, Helena Jacobs and James Covey, Binghamton; seven grandchildren, Nicole Schroeder, Scott Hatfield, Paige Hamilton, Tanya Hammitt, Jacob Schuk, Katelyn Hamilton, Robert Jacobs III; three brothers and two sisters; her only great grandchild, Jack Schroeder. Louella's life was devoted to raising her children and grandchildren. They were her life. She enjoyed long car rides along the countryside and listening to her old-time country music. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Funeral Services will be held for Louella on Thursday, December 9, at 12:00 noon at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Jerry Terry will officiate. Burial will follow at Vestal Park Cemetery in Vestal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Louella's memory to Traci's Hope, PO Box 504, Apalachin, NY 13732.
