Obituary of Florence J Erat

Florence Jean Erat Of Endicott Florence Jean Erat, 90 of Endicott, NY passed away on Thursday February 3, 2011 of natural causes at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. Florence was born on March 12, 1920 in Simpson, PA. Florence was predeceased by her parents: Walter and Josephine Swiderski, Brothers: Bernard Swiderski and Leonard Swiderski, Sisters: Pearl Krupinski, Irene Buckley, Victoria Zalewsky, Martha Swiderski and Grandson Ronald Erat Jr. her sister Marian Marcelli of Gibbstown, NJ. Two sons: Richard Erat of Syracuse NY, Ronald Erat and his wife Bonnie Erat of Apalachin, NY. Two daughters: Karen Wolanski and her husband John Wolanski of State College, PA, Donna Powers and her husband Thomas Powers of Oxford, NJ. Eleven Grandchildren; Shawn & Tony Olszewski, Connie & Todd Kopalek, Kelly & Josh Wolff, Daniel & Tara Erat, Christopher Erat, Robin & Jeremiah Neal, Rebecca Powers & Jack Keller, Jessica & Walter Heeger, Amanda Powers & Vincent Furia, Nicole & William Potoczny, Eric Wolanski & Kristin Reed. Florence also had 13 Great Grandchildren, Katelyn Heeger, Chelsea Heeger, Walter Heeger, Madeline Olszewski, Evan Olszewski, Shane Olszewski, Alexandra Kopalek, Gabriella Kopalek, Camryn Kopalek, Luke Wolff, Julia Wolff, Grant Potoczny, Reese Neal. Florence lived a long life and was deeply devoted to caring for her family. She also took pride in caring for others, including her Mother and Father, Mother-in-Law and Sisters. She also had many wonderful neighbors especially Roger and Don. Florence and she also enjoyed reading, crocheting, bingo, playing cards and cooking. She especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, February 7, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 701 West Main St. Endicott, NY 13760. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00AM. A Luncheon will follow the funeral for Family and Friends at Our Lady of Good Cousel Church. Donations in her memory can be made to the Memorial Fund of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott.
