Obituary of Arlene Phillips

Arlene N. Phillips Arlene N. Phillips 89, resident of James G. Johnston Methodist Home, formerly of Endicott, entered into eternal life ON MARCH 11, 2011. Arlene was born April 29, 1921, the daughter of George and Gladys Avery. Arlene was collector of taxes for the town of Union Endicott She also helped run Avery's Variety Store in Union Endicott with her parents and husband for many years. She was a member of Carnation Rebekah Lodge Chapter 345, former Matron of the Eastern Star, and a member of Central United Methodist Church, Endicott. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband and life companion, Robert Phillips who passed away Feb. 17,2009. Survivors include cousins Susan and (Guy) Howard and their families, Rexford, N.Y., Betty Dubois of Endicott, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 2 PM in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott, NY with the Rev. David Seaver officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Carnation Rebekah Lodge Chapter 345 in care of Mary Alice Edson, 1515 Riverview Dr., Endicott, NY 13760. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott.
