Cliff was born in Johnson City March 13, 1921 and lived his entire life in this area, most of it in the same residence in Apalachin. In addition to his wife of 66 years, Cliff also joins his parents Horace and Mary Fuller, his son-in-law Robert Salazar, his brother Donald Fuller, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Thelma and Phelps Ball, brothers-in-law Victor Musa and Glenford Jennings, and father and mother -in-law Frank and Ella Jennings, who pre-deceased him.. He also recently lost his wonderful and devoted sister-in-law and dear friend Fern Moore. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Salazar, son Clifford (Corky) (Brenda) Fuller, grandsons James Fuller (Kristen) and Christopher Salazar, as well as great granddaughter, Angelica Fuller. He is also survived by his brothers William (Misao) Fuller, and Gerald (Dottie) Fuller, sisters-in- law Phyllis Fuller, and Paula Jennings Beno and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He felt blessed to have special nieces Val Hogan, Vickie (Jim) Mauro, Tina Logerfo (Rich), and Tamara Battaglini (Chris) and their families, who always played such a special part in his life. Cliff, a 60 year resident of Apalachin, retired from NYSEG in 1983. Still in his early 60's, he spend many years pursuing a variety of hobbies and passions. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, kayaking, and landscape painting, as well as many other activities. He and Fran also enjoyed yearly trips to Miami and wintering in Las Vegas. Cliff practiced organic farming for decades, and provided wonderful fruits and vegetables to friends, neighbors and family alike. He devoted over 40 years to the Apalachin Volunteer Fire Department, and especially enjoyed working on the annual Apalachin Fireman's field day. In later years when no longer able to fight fires, he was an active member of the volunteer fire police. Cliff, will also be re-united with Sinbad, his beloved Persian cat and constant companion these last few years. Anyone arriving at the Fuller residence in the late afternoon was certain to encounter a large black Persian curled up on Cliff's lap, the two taking their afternoon siesta together. He also loved being a surrogate grandfather to great grandnephew Dominic, who visited him weekly and kept him young by playing with trucks and cars and other wonderful games. He felt truly blessed to have many friends and neighbors who enriched his life and helped him care for his wife during her long illness, especially the Telfer, Yablonsky and Ditton families. A special thanks to Rev. Tom Briggs, Pastor of the Apalachin Alliance Church, who remained steadfast throughout this past year. Cliff spent much of the last decade caring for his wife in her battle with Alzheimer's disease. He never waivered in his devotion to her, never complained, and provided the utmost in loving care even though he was in his 80's at the time. Fran was the girl he met in his teens, married in his 20's and loved till he died. The family wishes to thank the nurses, aides, therapists and others who have cared for Cliff these last many months, for your compassion, devotion and humor that brightened his days. Cliff will be cremated and his ashes placed beside his wife, in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin.
