Obituary of Paul A Donovan

Donovan, Paul Amos Formerly of Endwell: Paul Amos Donovan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Thomson Hood Veterans Home, Wilmore, KY formerly of Endwell, NY. Paul was born December 7, 1927 in Milton, DE to Arthur B. and Amy P. Donovan. He was a graduate of Milton High School, Milton, DE and Allentown Bible College, Allentown, PA. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant and was a veteran of WW II. Upon graduation from college, Paul and Evelyn moved to Endicott, NY, where he was employed by Loblaws Grocery Store, General Electric, and eventually retired from IBM in 1990 after 21 years of service. He was a faithful attendee of the Endicott Pilgrim Holiness Church until relocating to Wilmore, KY, to live with his daughter. Paul is survived by his daughter, Myrna (Dale) Hale, Wilmore, KY; sons, Francis (Phyllis) Donovan, Geneva, NY, Kevin (Lou Ann) Donovan, Jackson, MI; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Aileen (Atwood) Timmons, Esther Reynolds, Imogene (William) Spencer, all of Delaware; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Nicholas Donovan in 2009; brother, Leighton Donovan; sisters, Ruth, Roberta, Marietta, Rachel. Visitation hours will be Friday, April 15, 11 a.m. at Coleman and Daniels Funeral home, Endicott, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., with the Rev. Edward Lecates officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
