Obituary of Clayton F Bost

Clayton Floyd Bost Clayton Floyd Bost (92) of Endicott passed away peacefully Wednesday April 13,2011 at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford. The lord called Clayton home to join his family members who went before him: His parents Floyd and Gladys Bost, infant sister Beatrice, his daughter Joyce Kingsley Castleberry. Wives Ruth Fowler Bost, Ruth Ella Hudson Crandall Bost, Sandra Harders Hall Bost. Daughter In-Law Doreen Henderson Bost, son in-law Bruce Dunham, grandson Brian Bost, two step granddaughters Bambi Carrigan and Jackie Mead. Clayton is survived by his beloved sister Edith Truax. His former wife Noreen McKinney Bost. His daughters and son in-laws; Donna and Tom Brechko, Cindy and Wayne Crispell. His sons and daughter in-laws: Gary and Ann Bost, Donald Bost, David and Ruth Bost, Clayton D. Bost, Keith and Donna Bost. Step daughters and sons-in-law; Kathy and Darry Rozelle, Jennifer and Robert Thompson, Cindy and Gene Crawford, Sue and Kevin Ellis, Regina Mead. Step sons and daughters in-laws; Mike and Wilma Crandall, Jeff and Jennifer McKinney, Dennis McKinney, Christopher and Christine McKinney, Michael Hall, Earnest and Debbie Hall. His nieces and husbands; Elaine and Tom Tallman, Shirley and Ralph Lockwood. Along with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clayton and his daughters Cindy, Sue and families wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, especially the staff on Apple Neighborhood for your wonderful care and companionship. Clayton was born June 24,1918. He served in the Army during World War II where he was awarded a Purple Heart and several bronze stars for his heroism. After Clayton's Military service he returned to Endicott where he enjoyed his life raising his children and working for the Endicott Johnson Corporation for 34 years as their Master Plumber and Pipe Fitter. He was a long term member of The American Legion Post 0357, Hallstead. Clayton will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his willingness to help his family and friends in anyway he could. Clayton loved taking pictures for which his family will always be grateful for the memories. May he rest in peace knowing we loved him with all our hearts. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 6:00 pm from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott with Pastor Loretta Perry officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Monday from 5 pm until service time at 6:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Clayton's name to The Gospel Chapel, 203 North Avenue Owego, NY 13827 and The NYS Veterans Home, 4207 State Highway 220, Oxford, NY 13830.
