Obituary of Florence DeLello

Florence (Shafer) DeLello Endwell: 98, of Endwell, peacefully went with the angels Sunday, April 17, 2011, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judy DeLello; grandson, Jeffery Bullock DeLello; and siblings, Dorothy, Gladys, Luella, Mildred, Margaret, John and Kenneth. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Bastine (Bucky); daughters, Maria Busch, Binghamton, Tina (Larry) Minni, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Mark (Michelle) Busch, Paul (Stacey) Busch, Steven (Tara) Busch, Kevin Busch, Lucas and Chelsea Minni; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Katie Busch and Cole Busch; step-grandchildren, Jessica (Ian) Painter, Rachel (Marco) Cervoni; step-great-grandchildren, DeLaney and Drew Painter; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special neighbors. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jennie Dyer; brothers-in-law, Joe (Tommy) DeLello and Frank DeLello. Florence is best known for her wonderful cooking as proprietor of DeLello's Restaurant and the Blue Haven Restaurant in Johnson City. Florence especially enjoyed feeding the many birds who would come visit her patio looking for bread. Florence is a member of St. Joseph's Church in Endicott. The family would like to extend a special thanks to UHS North Tower 3 staff and to Hospice for their sincere care and support. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Florence's memory may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850 or to a charity of your choice. Funeral and Interment Services will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Deacon Dominick Rossi will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, NY at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3 p.m. until service time at 5.
