Obituary of Maureen Ann Snyder

Maureen Ann Marie Snyder Vestal: Age 66 of Vestal. Maureen Snyder beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt went to be with the Lord Easter Sunday morning April 24, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Mildred Harris, brother Edward Harris and most recently her son Kris Snyder. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary Snyder, daughter Kim Rawlins, granddaughters Alyssa Snyder, Kaitlyn Snyder and Tyeler Rawlins, grandson Erik Snyder, sisters and brother-in-law Diane and Robert Murcko, Kathleen Kephart, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janice and Joseph Wisinski, brother-in-law Gene Snyder and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Maureen graduated in January 1962 from Binghamton North High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Her hobbies included cross-stitching and gardening. Maureen shared her extensive knowledge of annuals, perennials and shrubs with friends, neighbors as well as the general public during the past 10 years while working at Bills Garden Center in Vestal. Her top priority however was her family. The family whishes to thank all of the nurses and aides at Lourdes Hospital, Ross 1 Oncology, Seton 3 Surgical and the ER for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make donations in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101. A funeral service for Maureen will be held 3 P. M. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc. 765 Main St. Vestal. A special friend of the family, Michael Fowler will officiate. Burial will be 10 A. M. Monday, May 2, 2011 in the Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, from 1 P. M. until time of the service at 3 P.M.
