Obituary of John M. Alger

John Marshall Alger Endwell: John Marshall Alger, 81 of Endwell passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Born on February 2, 1930 in Oneonta, NY. He was the son of Irwin and Hazel Alger. He is survived by his wife Marilyn J. Alger of Endwell, a daughter Stephanie L. Alger of Alexandria, VA, also several cousins. John was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by IBM for 26 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years and was an avid reader with a love of history. A Funeral Service for John will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10 am from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc. 300 E. Main St. Endicott with the Rev. Donald Bourgeois officiating. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive their friends on Saturday from 9 am until service time at 10 am.
