Obituary of Ronald Carpenter

Ronald L. Carpenter Vestal: The angels came and escorted Ronald L. Carpenter to heaven on Sunday, July 10, 2011. He was greeted by his wife of 49 years, Shirley (Beach) Carpenter and his parents, Adah & Harvey Carpenter. Ron is survived by two sons, Kim (Diane) Carpenter, Mark (Sue) Carpenter, daughter Barbara (Chuck) Tennant, and was blessed with a very special relationship with Debby & Alicia Wagner. Ron had four grandchildren: Melanie (Chris) Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, and Stacey (Mike) Jones. Ronald was blessed with two great-grandchildren Cooper and Kenzey Jones. Ron enjoyed a very special bond with his nephew Larry (Jan) Brearly, niece Judy Craven and many other special family members. Ron was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army and worked at IBM for 31? years and 9 years at Glass Creations. Ron has resided at Vestal Nursing Center the last 2 ? years and had developed a large extended family with many friendships. Ron said he was a lucky man to be blessed with such a wonderful family with so many friends. He asks that you always keep your eyes on Jesus. Ron was a member of Tracy Creek Memorial Church. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to: Tracy Creek Memorial Church, 4 Knight Road, Vestal, NY 13850 or Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad, 324 Myrtle St., Vestal, NY 13850. A memorial service will take place at Tracy Creek Memorial Church on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 3:00 PM with the Rev. John Lucas officiating. The family will receive their friends at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
