Obituary of Rosemarie De Luca

Rosemarie De Luca Vestal: Rosemarie De Luca, 71, of Vestal, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, PA, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on August 16th, 2011 with her family at her side. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, Donald; her children, Gina and George Newell, Marco De Luca, Donna De Luca-Utter and son-in-law, Robert Utter; her loving grandchildren, Tyler Hastings, Giorgio De Luca, Dillon Utter, Vaughn Utter, Brentyn Utter, Ava Newell and Patrick Newell; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sandy Blasi; brother-in-law, David De Luca and wife, Barbara De Luca and brother-in-law, Teddy De Luca; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Nellie Blasi of Wilkes-Barre, PA. Rosemarie was a graduate of GAR, class of 1958. She worked for RCA, was an associate of Wal-Mart, and Secretary and Treasurer of the family business Old World Delicatessen, Inc. After retirement Rosemarie volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels. Rosemarie is survived by a close circle of friends who enriched her life through such activities as bingo, bunko, and dining out. She will also be remembered by her dearest friends, Josie Kwak, Joan King and Marylin DeVita. Rosemarie was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal, NY. The family would like to thank Drs. Rai and Kloss and the Oncology Department at Lourdes Hospital for their loving care and concern through Rosemarie's illness. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, August 19th, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, NY. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 20th, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 156 Charles St., Vestal, NY.
