Obituary of Stanley Ziemba

Stanley A. Ziemba Endwell, NY: Stanley A. Ziemba, 85, of Endwell, passed away peacefully to be in his Heavenly Home on August 28, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Antoinette Ziemba; an infant son, Martin; brothers, Michael and Joseph Ziemba. Stan is survived by his loving wife, Anne M. Ziemba for 60 years; his devoted children: two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Rose Ziemba, Anchorage, Alaska, Monica and Douglas Egnaczyk, Manlius, NY; son and daughter-in-law, John and Laura Ziemba, Middleton, NH; also his grandchildren, Shawn, Emily and Daniel Freitas, John and Julia Egnaczyk, and Samuel and Nicholas Ziemba. He is also survived by a sister, Louise Kozol; sisters and brothers-in-law, Josephine Ziemba, Lorraine Kodey, Bert and Irene Kodey, Joseph and Betty Kodey, and Mary Mahony. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Stan was a 26 year retiree from General Electric Company. He was a World War II Marine Veteran participating in the Battle of Okinawa with the 3rd Amphibious Corps. He was always very proud to have served his country. Stan was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp at 7th Lake, Inlet, NY in the Adirondacks. He was very devoted to his family and the Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Church, 207 Hayes Ave., Endicott, at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 31 by Rev. Clarence Rumble and Deacon Dominick Rossi. Burial will be at Maine Cemetery, following the Mass. The family will receive friends at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott, Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in Stan's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Church or American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
