Obituary of Martha D Flipse

Martha D. "Millie" Flipse Endicott: Martha D. Flipse, 79, of Endicott, NY, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 in her home. She is now resting in peace after a short unexpected illness with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Joseph Mossakowski, her husband of 46 years, Peter H. Flipse, and her sister, Barbara K. Shaffer; and grandson, Scott Sickles. She is survived by her loving family: five sons, and four daughters-in-law, Scott and Karen, Watertown, NY, Peter H. Jr. and Robin, Dalton, MA, Daniel Flipse, Johnson City, NY, Joseph and Rosie, Henderson, NV, Michael and Sharon, Milwaukee, WI; daughter, Benita, son-in-law, Gary Sickles, Lakeside, PA; a wonderful sister and brother, Cele Penny, Cortland, NY, Alphonse Mossakowski, Bryan, TX; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; great friend to Millie and family of years, Nancy Bundy; friend to Millie, Scott Sternquist; very special care giver, Denise; and many wonderful friends. Millie was an excellent homemaker who did domestic work for forty years and was very proud of her ethnic heritage, loved her family and home. She touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed. Millie will be buried at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. Afterwards there will be a brief service at her house for immediate family only. Her family wishes to thank all her friends, neighbors and family members for all your kindness and hope you will join us in spirit celebrating the life of Martha (Millie) D. Flipse.
