Obituary of Madaline Gulachok

Madaline "Joann" Gulachok Owego: Madaline "Joann" Gulachok, of Owego, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, December 9, 2011. Born in Endwell on June 29, 1930, she was one of 9 children of Paul and Marie (Healey) Davis. On May 14, 1949 she married the love of her life, Myron Gulachok of Johnson City. Joann is survived by her husband, Myron; sons, Myron Keith, Michael and daughter-in-law Nataliya; sisters, Nancy Davis of Endwell and Aubrey Tilley of Washington State; a brother, Charles Davis of Florida; sister-in-law, Doris Davis of Endwell; brother-in-law, Walter Gulachok of Johnson City; numerous nieces and nephews. Joann was selflessly devoted to her family. A fine cook and gardener. She loved going to McDonald's and the Open Door Mission in Owego. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott. Father Zinovy Zharsky, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Johnson City, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at 1. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Open Door Mission in Owego or to Stray Haven in Waverly.
