Obituary of Ralph G. Huntington

Ralph G. Huntington Endwell: Ralph G. Huntington, of Endwell, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Beatrice Huntington, three brothers, Amos (Molly) Huntington, Alvin (Iola) Huntington and Bob Huntington. He is survived by his nephew, William Huntington and his niece, Mary Lou (Jack) Prindle, also several grandnieces and grandnephews. Also surviving is a special friend, Sal Poliziano. Ralph was born in Mechanicville, NY on October 31, 1921. He attended Albany Business College and graduated from Syracuse University. Ralph served in the US Air Corps from 1942- 1945 as a Sergeant in England. He was employed and retired from Jefferson Insurance Co. of NY and NJ in 1988. After his retirement he moved to Vestal, NY and in later years made his home at Good Shepherd Village at Endwell. Ralph loved reading, music and theater. He also enjoyed many years as a global traveler. One of his favorite past times was singing with the Johnson City Silvertones. He was an unpublished artist who liked painting landscapes. His piano playing and serenading at family gatherings will be greatly missed. He enjoyed ageless interaction with young and old. He was known as "Uncle Ralph" to many and his kind and gentle spirit will be remembered and will live within the hearts of those he touched. A funeral service will be held for Ralph on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 3:00 p.m. Eddie Maslin will officiate. Burial will take place at Hudson View Cemetery in Mechanicville, NY at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Ralph's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice .
