Obituary of Susan Hanyon

Susan Hanyon Susan Hanyon went to be in the arms of the Lord peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2012. Predeceased by her parents, Clara and Douglas Harrington. She was survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Van Hanyon; sons, Joseph Hanyon (Karen), Mark Hanyon, and Adam Hanyon (Cheyenne); grandchildren, Brooke, Devin, Jenna, Marcus, Chase, Addison, and Nadia; brothers and sisters, Linda Harrington, Helen Harrington, Douglas Harrington, John Harrington, Claire Harrington, and Rose Esworthy; and many nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her beloved dog Snuggles. Susan loved to spend time with family and friends while playing cards, camping at the Shad Club, and watching Nascar. One true passion was her devotion to the Women's Auxiliary of the Hillcrest Legion, where she was an active member for 21 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest American Legion Post 1194, 363 West Service Road, Hillcrest, NY.
