Obituary of Nellie M Gaul

Nellie May Gaul Endicott: Nellie May Gaul, 93, of Endicott, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 while on a short stay at Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal. Nellie was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Woodruff A. Gaul, Sr., her parents Robert "Pop" Shorter and Sarah Shorter, and her sister Roberta Wage. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Woody A. Gaul, Jr. (Nancy), Daniel R. Gaul (Evelyn), one daughter and her husband, Linda K. Young (Don). She has eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the West Endicott Baptist Church for several years and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Nellie was presently a member of the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Vestal. She enjoyed the many friends and family when they visited her at Woodland Manor Assisted Living. Mom made several friends while at Woodland Manor in Vestal, of which her closest were JoAnn, Theresa, Joe, George and Nancy who sat at her table in the dining room. She had a great sense of humor and was very quick witted. She was the only one at Woodland with a loud horn on her walker. She will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10: 00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. The Reverend David C. Seaver, a family friend, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery in Endicott. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 729 Main St., Vestal, NY 13850 or a charity of your choice .
