Obituary of Robert J. Douglas

Robert Douglas Apalachin: Robert Douglas, age 72, beloved father, brother, and grandfather, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012, surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Edna Hopkins, and brother Lloyd Douglas. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Leroy and Gladys Douglas; sisters Merline Hawthorn, Bessiemay Richardson, Gerildean Powell and Geneva Tennet; his sons Steven Hopkins and Robert Douglas Jr.; daughters Corinna Borg and Lori Peninger; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a Florida native, a devoted Yankees fan and enjoyed attending some of the best games with his son Steve. He retired from C.H. Thompson. Robert will be remembered as a great friend, loving and a strong man. He will be missed by many. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott. Services will follow.
