Obituary of Ellen T. Stoddard

Ellen T. Stoddard of Vestal Ellen T. Stoddard, 90, of Vestal, passed away at Lourdes Hospital, Monday December 29, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Emory F. Stoddard in 2000; and her brother, John Hennessy. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ellen Carmody and David Ross, Kathleen and Edwin Van Schaick; five grandchildren, Linda MacDermott, Christopher Carmody, Catherine Belmont, James F. Carmody II, Michael Meier; four great-grandchildren, Alisha Saunders, Trevor MacDermott, Olivia Carmody, Dylen Carmody; two great-great-grandchildren, Tessa MacDermott, Christopher Saunders; one brother, Frank Hennessy. Ellen was retired from the Vestal Central School System where she taught Kindergarten for 23 years. She was an artist working in oils and pastels. She loved cats and was an avid reader. A Funeral Service for Ellen will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Susan E. Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott.
