Obituary of Joseph Tingley

Joseph S. Tingley Tingley, Joseph S. Endicott: Joseph S. Tingley passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Tingley; his father-in-law, Douglas Grant. He is survived by his wife, Sally Grant Tingley; daughter Gina Marsh (Mike Marsh); son Douglas Tingley; grandchildren Jake and Vinny Marsh; mother-in-law Pat Grant; sister-in-law Debbie Sanders; sister Pat Babcock; nieces and nephews, Mike Goon, Donna DePersis, Chris Babcock, and Brandon Sanders; and very special great nieces and nephews, many friends and fellow golfers (you all know who you are). Joe fought cancer for many years; he said about cancer: "I'm going to beat it.It's not going to beat me." Joe was competitive in all he did - bowling, baseball, his job, cooking, and his love of golf. He was always concerned with everyone else even though he was very sick. He coached pee-wee football for many years and always donated his time to anyone who needed it. Our sincere thank you to Dr. Yalamanchili, Dr. Robillard, Dr. Reidling, Dr. Haq, and Dr. Holly, and to all the wonderful people at Broome Oncology, Danielle Pitcher, Sarah Presto from Hospice, and the staff at Lourdes One West. Each day you gave us was more than we could hope for; we will always love you and miss you dearly. Funeral and Interment Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott. The Rev. Susan Davis will officiate. Military Honors will follow the service at the Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Make A Wish Foundation of Central New York, 5005 Campuswood Dr., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
