Obituary of Michael Harrington

Michael S. Harrington Harrington, Michael S. 45, of Johnson City, NY passed away unexpectedly May the 15, 2012. He is survived by his three loving sons; Cole, Cameron and Conner Harrington, Vestal. He is survived also by his grandmother Olivia Wimbrow, Ocean City, MD; parents Pamela and Raymond Harrington of Apalachin, NY; his sisters Kimberly (Enrico) Serine and her children Jourdana and William, Endicott, and Elizabeth (Gregory) Keefe and her daughters Cassi and Hannah, Vestal; his brothers Matthew (Amber) Harrington and his children Mark and Madison, Boise, and John (Danielle) Harrington and his children Alyssa and Gavin, Aurora,CO, as well as several aunts uncles and cousins whom loved him very much. Michael was born at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia on August 19, 1966. After attending Calvert Hall College Prep in Baltimore Maryland, he graduated from Vestal High School class of 1985, and graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Broome Community College in 1999 with an Associates of Applied Science and Electrical Engineering Technology. His loving nature and kind heart will always be remembered, as he would gladly give anyone within arm's reach not only a warm hug, but a friendly smile as well. His amazing abilities in math and science were only surpassed by his love of poetry and writing, and he did them both often. He had hoped to one day hike the Appalachian Trail; he identified most with nature and its beauties. Moments spent outside were some of his happiest and most peaceful. He will be carried away to a restful place after years of struggle, with which so many of his family past and present have been afflicted. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved. Donations in his memory may be made to the Supportive Housing Program, 61 Susquehanna Street., Binghamton, NY 13905. A Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 11AM from Blessed Trinity Parish at St Margaret Marys Church, Pennsylvania Ave, Apalachin. Burial will be in Vestal Hills memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church Monday from 9AM until service time at 11. Arrangements are by the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Apalachin.
