Obituary of Gordon A. Webster

Gordon Arthur Webster Gordon Arthur Webster, aged 90, passed away on June 2, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Mr. Webster was predeceased by his father, John Cecil Webster; his mother, Keturah Humphrey; his step-mother, Doris Webster; two infant brothers and his daughter, Donna Lee Harvey. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jane Lillian Webster; his children, Gordon, Eric (Jaishree) and Jennifer; his sister, Joy Van DeMortel (Gary) and nephew, Joshua Steffenson (Colleen); son-in-law, David Sohn; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born in Barbados, West Indies and worked for Pan American Airlines as an aviation engineer for 8 years stationed in Antigua, West Indies. Gordon immigrated to the United States and worked for Vail Ballou Press in Binghamton, NY as an engineer and retired after 30 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working at The Computer Man as a technician. Gordon was also an avid wood worker. The family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice and in particular the dedicated nurses and pastoral staff for their care and support. A calling hour will be held Wednesday, June 6 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott NY, with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 PM.
