Obituary of Douglas E Carey

Carey, Douglas E. Vestal Center: Douglas E. Carey, 82, of Vestal Center, went to be with the lord Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in Bellingham, WA. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Anna Carey; brothers, Vaughn, Marcel, and Franklin; and his wife, Harriet. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anna Carey and Frank Miyazaki of Bellingham, WA; son, Timothy Carey of Vestal; two sisters, Shirley Carey and Elizabeth Matthews; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Carey and Henrietta Schwenz; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a retired employee of Endicott-Johnson Corp and a member of the Vestal Center United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal. The Rev Ronald Wenzinger will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12 p.m. until service time at 1.
