Obituary of Shirley Watts

Shirley I. Watts Shirley Watts, age 81, of Apalachin (Vestal) passed away on July 17, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 28, 1931. She was predeceased by her parents, J. Ernest and Lucy Watts; sister, Vivian Ball, sisters and brother-in-laws, Leona Haus (Frank), Barbara Cook (Romeyn); brothers, James and Jack Watts. She is survived by her daughter and her Companion, Ranee Kopcik (Buddy Swingle); grandchildren and their spouses, Chad Kopcik (Tina) and Julie Lee (Daryll); great grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Brianna, and Brayden Kopcik, Blake Sellers; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lu Baird (Gerald); sister-in-laws, Peggy Watts Harrison and Dawn Watts; several cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She also left behind her beloved cat, Tamika, whom she loved and adored for 16 years. Shirley was a graduate of Vestal Central High School and was a retired School Bus Driver and Monitor for the Vestal Central School District for several years. She was also an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan. She enjoyed playing Bingo with friends and family in her younger days. The family will receive friends and family at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, Friday July 20th from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday July 21st at 10 a.m. Burial Services will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
