Obituary of Martha Frank
Martha Frieda Lehmann Frank Martha Frieda Lehmann Frank, 86, of Endwell, peacefully went to sleep at home with her loved ones by her side on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Martha was born April 14th, 1926 in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1947. Martha was predeceased by her parents and several siblings in Berlin,Germany; and her loving husband, Dieter E. Frank. Martha is survived by her son and his family, Terry, Kiriko and Dieter T. Frank, Endwell; a daughter and her family, Madell, Alan and Alec Rohulich of Endicott and a sister and nephew, Erika and James Mathews of Columbus, Ga.; and a very special longtime friends, "Uncle" Leo Haruk of Johnson City and Jan Hallock and family of Vestal. Upon arriving in the U.S., Martha worked at Link before meeting her husband, Dieter at the German Club in Binghamton. Martha and Dieter married November 10th, 1956 and moved to their dairy farm in Marathon, N.Y. Martha worked hard to provide a warm, wonderful and inviting place for family and friends for many years. No one was ever allowed to leave the table hungry or the homestead without a smile, hug and request to return. After moving to Park Manor in Endwell, Martha's hospitality was extended to new friends in the years to come. Martha's family would like to express special thanks to those who shared her life, caring for and looking after her; Joanne Dudinyak, who became more than a neighbor, but rather a daughter; Michael and Patricia Kuhl, who were always at her side when in need, and then again, just to be there; and Joyce Tokos, who provided comfort and care beyond that of a "neighbor."; Marie and Henry Graham, who tended to Martha's needs throughout. The family of Martha wishes to also express our gratitude for the wonderful care and support of Lourdes Hospice and Elder Care, who not only aided Martha in her journey back to Dieter, but also gave wonderful support to her family. The family of Martha would like to thank Ms. Mitsuko Toyoda, Kiriko's mother, for flying from Japan to spend a month with Martha, caring for her day and night. Martha loved Mitsuko and appreciated her care, her smile and brightness. Mitsuko was Martha's angel from afar. As by Martha's request, there will be no calling hours or service. Through memories, Martha love and life will be eternal. Arrangements by Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home Inc., Endicott.
