Ann then worked in Manhattan as personal secretary in large, influential business firm for a few years. She then married her childhood sweetheart, John in their Brooklyn neighborhood on Nov 3, 1956. In Dec 1957 they gave birth to their first son John. In 1959 Ann and her family settled in Staten Island, NY where she gave birth to their second son, Walter, in Feb 1961. When her sons were school-aged Ann became active in Cub Scouts as a Den Mother and began working again at the Boys Scouts of America Council office in Staten Island as the Council's Registrar. Later, she was offered and took a job as the secretary to the Headmaster at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, NY where she remained until she was honored during her retirement in June 2000. Ann and John enjoyed traveling to CA to visit their son John and family, and to upstate NY in Endwell to visit son Walter and family. Ann also enjoyed weekend trips to Atlantic City and spending time with her friends and neighbors who were like family. After her husband John died in 2006, Ann moved to Endwell, NY to be close to her son Walter and his family. There she enjoyed her new life with many projects in her new home and enjoying the company of her family, new friends, and wonderful neighbors. Ann was a caring and loving person.
