Obituary of Joseph F Scordino

Joseph F. Scordino, Sr. Endicott: Joseph F. Scordino, 84, of Endicott, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Bruno and Angie Scordino; and his brothers, James, Mike Scordino; and grandson, Konrad William Jr. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosemary (Murphy) Scordino; his three children, Kathleen Mastrogiacomo and friend, Bill, of Endicott, Joe and Sally Scordino, Jr., of Apalachin, Mary and Konrad Bach Sr. of Binghamton; five grandchildren, John (MaryAnn) Mastrogiacomo III, Joe (Stacy) Mastrogiacomo of Endicott, Dr. Joseph (Sarah) Scordino III of Maine, Dr. Laura Scordino (Dr. Jessica Weiss) of Connecticut, Kelly Bach of Binghamton; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank (Kate) Scordino of Florida, John and (Eddy) Scordino of Candor; sisters-in-law, Rita and Lila Scordino, Nancy (Dick) Thomas, Fran Byers; and brother-in-law, Tom Murphy; also many relatives and friends too numerous to mention. He was a retired Fire Chief with the Village of Endicott Fire Department and a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post #1700 of West Endicott. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Ave, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at 10. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., Endicott.
