Obituary of Beverly J McCarty

Beverly J. McCarty of Apalachin: Beverly J McCarty, 82 of Apalachin passed away Monday evening September 24,2012 at her home. She was predeacesed by her parents Harold and Gladys Stewart, her husband of 50 years Vernon Lee McCarty; 2 sons, Jan Richard McCarty, and James Patrick McCarty. She is survived by her son, Mark Allen McCarty of Tampa Florida, her daughter, Colleen Jeanne McCarty of Apalachin; 7 grandchildren, Darlene and Jesse Cohn, Brad and Terry McCarty, Caroline McCarty, Alexandra McCarty, and Matthew and Jeffrey McCarty, and Sean McCarty; 2 great grandchildren, Katie McCarty, and Rosa Cohn. A dear friend, Ida Shearer. She was a life member of the Apalachin United Methodist Church,and a graduate of Union-Endicott High School class of 1948. She was a retired employee of IBM Owego, and a Honorary member of the Vestal Elk Lodge #2508, and the ladies luncheon group class of 1948, and the ladies luncheon group from the IBM cafeteria, and the Red Hat society of Apalachin. Funeral and Interment services will be held Thursday at 11AM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc, St Rt 434, Apalachin.The Rev. Mary Jean Simonin pastor of her church will officiate.Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,Owego. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday morning from 9AM until service time at 11 In lieu of flowers, contributions made be made in her memory to the Apalachin Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 572, Apalachin, NY 13732.
