Obituary of Chester J. Stubecki

CHESTER J. STUBECKI Chester "Chet" J. Stubecki, 95, of Vestal, died peacefully following a period of declining health at Willow Point Nursing Home on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Born November 22, 1916 in New York City, he was the son of Stanley and Frances Stubecki. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ethel (Donerly) Stubecki, and his three children; daughter Celia Bean and Doug Harris, son John and Debora Stubecki, and daughter Frances and Joe Melber. Four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Following strong feelings about the conflict in Europe, he volunteered with the Royal Air Force and was reassigned to the US Air Force upon the United States entry in WWII. He retired from IBM Endicott following 26 years of service. In keeping with his request, no services are being held. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad, 324 Myrtle Avenue, Vestal, NY 13850. Arrangements are with the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott.
