Obituary of Bunnie S. Kendrick

Bunnie S. Kendrick Bunnie S. Kendrick of Apalachin, NY passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer. Bunnie was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Shirley Kendrick and is survived by her brother, John Kendrick; his partner, Carter Poust of Palm Springs, CA; a son, Nicolas Mariani, Apalachin, NY; a daughter, Angela Gittings (Mariani) and son-in-law Daniel Gittings, Vestal, NY; and grandchildren, James Gittings, Jillian Gittings and Joseph Gittings. Bunnie was a 1967 graduate of Vestal High School. She worked at Thruway Fasteners for many years before moving to Las Vegas, NV in 1993. While in Las Vegas, NV, she enjoyed retirement, spending her time taking care of those in need. She worked part-time at Clark County Pool and Lawn Service from 2007-2008 as a receptionist, returning to NY in 2008. Before being diagnosed, Bunnie was employed with Next Generation Vending. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Bunnie will be remembered for being a very kind, loving and generous woman who saw good in everyone. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 157 Clark Street Vestal, NY 13850 with Father John Kurgan officiating. Interment will follow services at Riverhurst Cemetery, 2500 E. Main Street, Endicott, New York 13760. There will be no calling hours. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff and nurses of Broome Oncology especially Dr. Kahn. Also, the nurses and doctors of Wilson Hospital South Tower 3 for their compassion and care during her stay there. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
