Obituary of Genevieve M Drinko

Genevieve M. Drinko Apalachin: Genevieve M. Drinko, 92, of Apalachin died Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the James G Johnston Nursing Home in Johnson City. She was predeacesed by her father, Edward Zlotowski; her mother, Julia (Zlotowski)DeMarco; and her stepfather, Charles DeMarco; her husband, Joseph Drinko; and her brother, Edward Zloe. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Vilma Zloe of Stratford CT; two nieces, Vanessa (David) Bradford Fairfield CT, Alicia (Scott) Shearer of Sparta, NJ; a grand nephew, Trevor Bradford of CT; a dear friend, Louise Esposito of Apalachin. Genevieve graduated from Dunmore High School in Dunmore, PA. Music was her great joy in life, having played the violin in the young adult Symphony Orchestra in Scranton PA her hometown, and she also played a theater organ. She was a devoted member of Blessed Trinity Parish at St Margaret Mary's Church Apalachin. A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday January 3, 2013 at 10AM at Blessed Trinity Parish at St Margaret Mary's Church, Pennsylvania Ave, Apalachin. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Minooka, PA. The family will receive friends at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc, St Rt 434, Apalachin Wednesday January 2, 2013 from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the memorial fund of Blessed Trinity Parish at St Margaret Mary's Church.
