Obituary of Linda L Scales

Linda L. Scales Endicott: Linda L. Scales, 72, of Endicott, died Friday, December 28, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Rose Johnson; brother-in-law, Jim Guccia; and her grand dog, Cuddles, who passed away earlier this year. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank Scales; daughter, Robin Scales; and son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lori Scales; her special grandchildren, Joseph and Sarah Scales; brother and sister-in-law, Al and Jackie Johnson; 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Anna and Tony Saraceno, Joyce and Joe Sick, Nancy Guccia, and Cheryl and Tony Olshefski; several nieces, nephews and cousins; also her friends at the Western Broome Senior Citizens, especially her adopted daughter, Michelle Class. Linda lived her whole life in Endicott. She graduated from Union-Endicott High School. She was a former employee at Endicott-Johnson Corp and Kmart of Endicott. She loved being a housewife and enjoyed making cookies and snacks for her children after school. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Endicott and also helped in the nursery taking care of the children and babies. She also enjoyed butterflies. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church, 53 McKinley Ave, Endicott. The Rev. Susan Davis, Pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts South Section Office, Attn Heller's Angels, 125 John Hancock Rd., Taunton, MA 02780. Arrangements are by the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., Endicott.
