Obituary of Evelyn L. Thrash

Evelyn (Mimi) Thrash Evelyn (Mimi) Thrash, born August 21, 1918, passed away December 23, 2012. She was predeceased by husbands, Luther Young and Kenneth L. Thrash Sr.; daughter, Margaret Bollen; granddaughter, Brenda Lodini; and dear friend and companion, Victor Clark. She is survived by daughter, Kay Dadisman (David); sons, Kenneth L. Thrash Jr. (Nancy) and Ronald Thrash (Gail Bykonich); grandchildren, Paula Bollen, Kurt Bollen, Kimberly Kunkel, Eric Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Christopher and Cody Thrash and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn was raised in Berwick, PA and moved to Endicott with Kenneth. She held various jobs: delivering Highlights Magazine for Children, working in yard goods at Burt's, and as a teller at Bank of NY. She was a longtime member of Campville United Methodist Church and active in many committees there, as well as in Home Bureau and her afternoon and evening women's clubs. We would like to thank Evelyn's many caregivers, Ellen Wood, the staff at Castle Gardens/Keepsake Village, Willow Point Nursing Home, and Lourdes Hospice. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Campville United Methodist Church. Friends are invited to call at the church from 10:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
