Obituary of Shirley J Zacharias

Shirley J. (Camay) Zacharias Shirley J. (Camay) Zacharias, born January 16, 1936 passed away at home with her loving family by her side. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Camay; infant twins, Joseph and John; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Margaret Zacharias. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James Zacharias; sons, Rick (Pam) Zacharias of Central Square, NY, William (Tina) Zacharias of Concord, NC, Tom Zacharias (Lisa Parrot) of Candor, NY, Terry (Gina) Zacharias of Candor, NY, RJ Zacharias (Kristen Furch) of Candor, NY, Chris (Debbie) Zacharias of Endicott, NY; two daughters, Bonnie Zacharias of Owego, NY, Tracy Ferris (Mike Bruetsch) of Vestal, NY; brother, William (Sharon) of Johnson City, NY; and blessed with 22 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, niece and nephew. A retired IBM employee of 16 years, she enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling, and dinners with Terry, Gina, and their kids. Her greatest passion was racing. She loved watching them on TV and going even though she was too nervous to watch she still had to be there for her husband, kids and grandkids. Whether she liked you or not she still looked forward to going each week to see what was going on and be the middle of the conversation. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10AM from Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Coleman and Daniels 300 East Main St, Endicott Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8PM.
