Obituary of Edward R. Breno, Sr.

Edward R. Breno, Sr. of Endicott Edward R. Breno St., 68, of Endicott, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Vivian; father and mother, Alexander and Ellen Breno; brother, Clayton. He is survived by his children, Brooke and husband, Rick Simon, Endicott, Edward Breno, Jr., Endwell; Mark Breno, Endwell; stepchildren, Peter and Janice Balzer, Missouri, Christina Avery, Endicott; grandchildren, Corrina, Ellen, Christian, Darlene, Alexis, Mariah, Ben, Madison, Andrew, Peter, Monica, Jason, Sarah; brothers, Jack (Midge), Bobby and Larry Breno; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He owned and operated the Town Tavern in Endicott for many years, was a member of the American Carpatho Russian Club, Endicott, and was an employee of the Endicott Kmart. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790.
